We live in upstate NY and wanted our new house to blend in with the old Greek Revivals and farmhouses in the area. We were inspired by the New England Colonial “new-old” house styles of Connor Mill Built homes, but they are very costly. We knew that if we tweaked some architectural elements, we could achieve the same look with a modular. So we increased the roof pitch, added lots of windows with historic symmetry and spacing, enlarged the cornice returns and roof overhang, and added a stone chimney, screened-in porch, breezeway, and garage complete with cupola and weathervane. We were able to achieve a modern version of a classic look, within our budget. We love our Icon Legacy home. It even has geothermal!
